Welcome to my crowdfunding campaign! 

I am Charles Edward Salter.  My friends call me The Official “Max C”.    

I’ve been looking forward to this chance to release my very first R&B solo project for years.  

This campaign is to introduce myself to you as an R&B vocalist with an exciting new solo project.  This album will have you grooving to classic R&B sounds with a 21st Century twist.  Great, quality R&B music that has the power to stand the test of time needs daylight.  As an independent artist, getting the attention of established distribution streams requires resources that are more difficult to get in the age of Covid-19.  My record was recorded during the pandemic in circumstances that relied on a lot of creativity.  My production team, LDJaM Entertainment, wrote music for the project from its base in the US and then sent it to me in Finland where I recorded the vocals.  While Covid-19 gave us a great opportunity and space to collaborate, it threw a monkey wrench in our efforts to get the project out to you guys.   

That’s why I’m reaching out to you for support. 

What’s the Max C sound? 

A lot of people in Europe know me from the vocals I provided to EDM hits for some of the most popular international EDM artists and DJs.  In the US, folks know me as the front man for musicians from the original Gap Band.  People have compared my singing to Charlie Wilson and yes, I admit my voice might confuse you.  All I can say is my natural singing voice is one that I was born with and I consider the comparisons a great compliment.  

Now for this project.  Full Circle is an R&B jam session sprinkled with soulful duets and rap talent, that will take listeners on a lyrical journey providing stories of love lost, love found, perseverance, desire, hope, happiness, attraction, nostalgia, politics and head bobbing, foot stomping celebration.  This is not an album of forgetful tunes that won’t stand the test of time.  

This record will be a classic.  

It is full of memorable lyrics and stellar production. 

Listeners of all ages will find something to love.  

My production team at LDJaM Entertainment  includes Larry “LD” Darrell, former Music Director and Drummer for the iconic Rick James and Michael Baisden’s Baisden After Dark, among many others.  His writing partner, Jason "JMohr", has worked with Najee, Roy Ayers, Bobby Jones and more. 

We’re inviting you to join us on what will be a great ride to the top of the charts.  

Your support will propel this project while allowing me to maintain ownership and control of my music.  Without the financial backing of the major labels, especially during this pandemic, it’s hard to get the resources to get the kind of exposure needed for a project like Full Circle to see the light of day.

How will I use the money? 

Launching a new project, during a pandemic and as an independent artist is costly.  100% of your contributions will be used to support getting this project out to you.   Your contributions will help us record, produce and edit 3 music videos for the album’s singles and record a live virtual concert performance, among other things.
